Evan M. Kushner is Managing Partner of Kushner & Marano, P.C.  Attorney Kushner specializes in residential real estate law.  Mr. Kushner received a B.A. in finance, cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1987 and received his J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School in 1991.  Mr. Kushner published two articles as a member of The Suffolk University Law Review and also served as Business Manager.  Mr. Kushner serves as a member of the Practice Standards Committee for the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts (formerly the Massachusetts Conveyancers Association) and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar.  Mr. Kushner is an Instructor for the Paralegal Program at Northeastern University (Online Program), has guest lectured at Northeastern University as well as for First American Title Insurance Company as part of its Paralegal Training Program.  Mr. Kushner also regularly participates in Home Buying Seminars.

James V. Marano, JR. is co-founder of Kushner & Marano, P.C. and Director of the Litigation Department. Attorney Marano received his Bachelor's Degree in economics from Boston College and his Law Degree from Suffolk University Law School in 1991. Mr. Marano is admitted to practice law in the State of Massachusetts as well as the United States Federal Court, District of Massachusetts and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Attorney Marano has extensive litigation experience in the fields of personal injury, business and insurance defense litigation. Attorney Marano specializes in civil litigation and has litigated thousands of cases involving, among other things, catastrophic personal injuries, liquor liability, automobile accidents, construction accidents, complex business and contract disputes, lender liability litigation, insurance coverage and M.G.L. c. 93A and 176D. Attorney Marano is a frequent lecturer with respect to those various aspects of the law and has authored numerous educational booklets and seminar materials. Prior to co-founding Kushner & Marano, P.C., Mr. Marano was an attorney with the law firm of Morrison, Mahoney & Miller.

Linda Molumphy Freehill. Attorney Freehill has been an Attorney with the Litigation Department of Kushner & Marano, P.C. since 2000. Attorney Freehill received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Organizational Behavior and Management from Brown University in 1988 and her Law Degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1992. At the San Diego School of Law, Attorney Freehill was an Associate member of the San Diego Law Review. Attorney Freehill is admitted to practice law in the State of Massachusetts, the State of Connecticut and the United States Federal Court, District of Massachusetts. Attorney Freehill has extensive civil litigation experience in the fields of personal injury and insurance defense litigation. Attorney Freehill has handled all aspects of civil litigation cases including, but not limited to, catastrophic personal injuries, motor vehicle claims, premises liability claims, liquor liability claims and M.G.L. c. 93A and 176D. Prior to joining Kushner & Marano, P.C., Attorney Freehill practiced insurance defense litigation with the law firm of Morrison, Mahoney & Miller.

Edward J. Cummings. Attorney Cummings received his B.A. in 1992 from Ithaca College and he received his J.D. from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis in 1995. Mr. Cummings has been a member of the Massachusetts State Bar since December of 1995. Attorney Cummings joined the litigation department of Kushner & Marano in April of 2005. Prior to Kushner & Marano, Edward practiced with Boyle, Morrissey & Campo for several years, specializing in insurance defense litigation, which included construction, liquor liability, toxic tort and automobile claims. Attorney Cummings has tried dozens of cases in both Superior and District Courts throughout Massachusetts.

Kathleen T. McGovern. Attorney McGovern received her B.A. in 2003 from Assumption College and she received her J.D. in 2006 from New England School of Law in Boston. Attorney McGovern has been a member of the Massachusetts State Bar since November of 2006. Attorney McGovern joined Kushner & Marano in October of 2007 from Prague & Co., where she focused on estate planning and taxation. As an associate at Kushner & Marano, Attorney McGovern focuses on real estate law and estate planning.

Lynn A. Sementelli, Of Counsel. Attorney Sementelli received her B.A. from University at Albany in 1996 and she received her J.D. cum laude from New England School of Law in 1999. At New England School of Law, Lynn was an Executive Editor of the New England Law Review. Lynn has been a member of the Massachusetts Bar since December of 1999 and was admitted to the Federal Bar for the District of Massachusetts in April 2000. Attorney Sementelli joined Kushner & Marano in January 2002 with her focus on residential real estate law.
